Industrial Training

The Industrial Training program is designed to provide students with real-world exposure, bridging the gap between classroom learning and professional practice. By immersing themselves in actual work environments, students enhance their skills, expand their knowledge, and gain firsthand experience in hospitality operations. More than just practical training, this program instills integrity, responsibility, and self-confidence, shaping students into competent and industry-ready professionals.

As an integral part of all Hotel Management courses, industrial training takes place in top-rated hotels, leading travel agencies, airline offices, and other renowned hospitality establishments. The institute closely monitors each placement, ensuring that students receive training that aligns with their career aspirations and industry preferences, paving the way for exciting opportunities in the global hospitality sector.

The primary objective of Industrial Training is to immerse students in a real-world work environment, allowing them to gain hands-on experience, practical knowledge, and industry-specific skills. This exposure not only enhances their technical proficiency but also plays a vital role in boosting confidence, motivation, and professional development.

Additionally, Industrial Training helps students identify their key areas of interest within the hospitality sector, enabling them to make informed career choices. Hotel’s Role in Industrial Training

The first industry exposure plays a pivotal role in shaping a young trainee’s perception, skill set, and professional aspirations. If mentors and supervisors fail to nurture their development, trainees may struggle with low self-confidence, adopt negative attitudes toward the industry, and ultimately seek career alternatives. However, a well-structured, supportive training environment can lay the foundation for a thriving career in hospitality.

Key Responsibilities of the Hotel

Conduct a proper briefing session, orientation, or induction before the training begins.
Develop a standardized training module for all trainees to ensure consistency in learning.
Implement a structured training schedule and ensure its strict adherence.
Provide a positive and professional work environment for trainees.
Maintain close coordination with the institute to streamline the training process.
Monitor trainee attendance and enforce punctuality.
Regularly check training progress through appraisals, reports, and logbooks.
Report absenteeism or misconduct to the institute immediately.
Encourage interaction with guests to enhance communication and service skills.
Clearly define industrial training Do’s and Don’ts to set expectations.
Issue a completion certificate to trainees on their last day of training.

By fulfilling these responsibilities, hotels not only contribute to the growth of future hospitality professionals but also help elevate industry standards, ensuring a skilled and competent workforce for the future.
